This set contains approx. 10,700 full page and folding 2 original hand-coloured plates. In contemporary hf. calf, tooled gilt spines, mor. labels, a few missing & original buckram.
In addition this set also contains, Companion to the Botanical Magazine; 2 vols. roy 8vo London 1835, by W.J. Hooker; General Index to .. Curtis's Botanical Magzine, by Edmunt Tonks, London 1883; plus A New and Complete Indexd to the Botanical Magazine, ... by W. Botting Hemsley, London 1906; and F.J. Chittenden's Curtis's Botanical Magazine Index .. from Vol. I to Vol. 164, London 1956, 2 copies, one interleaved, both cloth. There is also a file of letters etc from Royal Horticultural Society, and Quaritch concerning same together 192 volumes. As a collection of plates, w.a.f.
