Inscribed to Frank McManus; The Hungry Grass, Faber 1947, First, V.G. in d.w., with publisher's announcement, and with an interesting ALS dated August 1953 to 'Frank', from the writer on holiday in Achill, complaining that various Dublin characters (including 'Con and his buxom daughter Elizabeth') seem to have followed him there. The writer was the son of the executed 1916 signatory,Thomas MacDonagh. (2)
