An antique c. 1857 cast steel and wooden handled six barrel pepperbox Pistol, by Manhattan Fire Arms Company, New York. (1)Note: According to Waldo Nutter in his book 'Manhattan Fire Arms,' it is likely that less than 3000 pepperboxes were produced and they were found in three different barrel groupings, 3, 5 and 6, with 6 being most rare.
